Which do you like better....Bear hunting or Deer hunting?

Thats like a choice between Blond or Red Head. There ain't no bad hunting. I like them about the same. Don't get to hunt bear as much so maybe bear.

I agree I like all hunting opportunities, but given those two choices deer hunting would be my pick. While it is great seeing that coke bottle bear dump on the forest floor by your stand, it don't send the shivers down my spine like a whitetail rub[8D]

I would have to say that I like Deer better when it comes to the actuall hunt but bear better when it comes to harvesting an animal. I see alot more deer and I get to spend the time with alot more friends. But I would much rather harvest a bear. I took an OK one here in pa about 3 years ago. He weighed 415 lbs not huge by any standard but it was the most exciting moment in my entire life without a doubt. When I am 100 years old I may forget my own name but I'll never forget that bear. So I would have to say it's a draw. I like them both the same but for different reasons.

I have bowhunted bears 15 times in my bowhunting experiences & of course whitetail many times in many states. Bear hunting is exciting when you see him but you spend lots of Boring time (most cases) waiting for that moment. whitetail is usually more exciting as you see more game BUT they both get the heart pumping.

Since bear hunting is more of a challenge here in PA., I would have to say bear is my favorite! We only get 3 days to hunt them in my area, and about 10 weeks to hunt deer ( with the proper licenses), so that makes bear hunting somewhat of a novelty compared to deer hunting. No matter how many times I see a bear throughout the year, I still get excited when one appears in front of me!

Bears! here we have a high population as compared to deer. Bear have that feel about them that they are boss and could kill you if they wanted
