Help Identifying Horn?

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

A relative who passed had this in their possession, I was wondering if any hunters could identify the animal this horn was from? Thanks in advance! Attachment 35286

Cow horn. Too light in color to be bison.

Thank you for your observation!

It is either cow or steer. Typical of horns used for powder horns.

While I have nothing to compare the size or gerth of it with. My guess is it is a young cow horn or perhaps it is from a goat. I am assuming it is only 2 1/2 to 3 inches wide?

Won't be a goat. That is an old powderhorn. Notice the plug on the large end and you can see where the hole used to be on the smaller end. They wouldn't use a goat horn for powder back then simply because it wouldn't hold much. Trust me it is bovine.
