Default My first elk.

Got my first cow elk yesterday! I got fortunate to get a draw tag for either sex, and luckily I got a cow! It was a 120-150yd shot with my Remington .270. I took basically the rear legs, front legs with bones and back straps de-boned and that weight was 225lbs! Im feeling the after affects from yesterday..today...

Also my wife made Elk Salisbury steak tonight and it was prob the best I've ate...ever!

Lots of good eating there. I'd rather have a tasty cow than the biggest bull in the woods.
