2014 bear hunt

Default 2014 bear hunt

Tagged this monster bruin on the last day of my maine bear hunt. After passing up 5 smaller bears I finally got the chance . I Couldn't be happier . 340 lbs and solid.

What did he square? My last bear was a jet black boar that squared 6'11". On the same trip my late father got a chocolate colored black that squared 7'1". It's bigger than some grizzly rugs I've seen. Bear are fun to hunt. Problem is convincing the wife that I actually need more bear rugs. She seems to think 2 or 3 is sufficient.

Haven't measured yet. Just go home last night and the cape is in the freeZer . Going to the taxidermist tomorrow and in sure I'll know then
