Just an observation, but you obviously have access to a computer. The game dept of every state in the nation have websites that show what is legal to hunt and what the pertinent regulations are. suggest you spend a few minutes looking up the info. That way you get the correct info.
Most hunters are really quick to provide help, but there are some basic things you need to do for yourself. For instance, I know off the top of my head that PA, NJ and NY all have some bear hunting. Can't say for sure if CT does. But why should I bother to look it up if you're not. For what it is worth, if you're in NY and you want to hunt bear, ME and NH would probably be better bets.

Like asking if there are any good places to fish along the Gulf coast.

If you get down towards Pensacola hit the New York Deli on Cervantes St. Great food! Everything homemade! ALso worth your time to hit McGuires Irish Pub and if the mudbug season is in full swing go by Cubs Crawfish and get 10 lbs of mudbugs to snack on while relaxing with an ice cold brew. I enjoyed my 4 years on the Gulf Coast.
