Gday everyone.
Im looking for self guided hunts for deer, bear, and elk im happy to bring my own gun over from Australia.
Im looking to hunt a state that has good numbers of the animals ive stated above where i can buy licenses and tags either over the counter or online.
I have a Colorado hunter education card so hunter education is not a problem.
Could anyone help please open for suggestions for 2014-2015.
Thanks Wayne.

I always suggest someone new to elk hunting to read Elk Hunting University on the DOW web site.

How long do you plan to be here hunting for those three animals?

Deer and elk is a stretch on a three week hunt. You could get lucky though.
Bear, that's its own three week hunt. And usually at a completely different time of year from deer and elk.
Pick the one you want most and concentrate on that. It will lower your stress level and make the whole experience more fun.

It's a long way for you to come for an OTC tag. I won't hunt an OTC unit, and I live here. Way too many hunters.
3 weeks is a good idea though, but I also suggest just hunting one species. I'd pick elk. You can come early, and scout and adjust to the altitude.
Deer tags are much harder to get here. Very difficult with no points.
Have you thought about what you're going to do with the meat?
