Default got a bear!! PIC!

Got a medium size blackie on Monday around 10:30 am.
Came in like an arrow to my bacon fry
Shot was at 15 yards with the 06 and the Federal 165 BT' s.
I had bear liver for the first time.
I' m impressed. It' s really tasty.
There are a lot of bear up here now since the spring hunt has been banned.
That' s the 7th one I saw since the season started on Sept 1st.
GOD BLESS,
DROPTINE

Gettin ready for deer now. I found a nice shed while bear huntin too. It measured 26.5 inches from base to tip and had 7 points on it. It was pretty chewed up but you could still tell how many points it had.

I' ll update with some pics asap (black and whites)

Excuse the messy truck but when your a modern hunter on the go with a young family you have to set your prioritys.
p.s.
The trucks' clean now and ready for deer season with a fresh floor of white and red cedar boughs to keep my gear smelling like the surrondings I hunt in

I won' t be gettin this one mounted or the hide tanned. I still have a 450lb bear' s hide that got tanned by a guy and it still stinks. I have to hang it in the garage.
This one is only half the size of that 450 pounder I got back in 2000.
Advice: Always have your hides tanned by a professional

GOOD LUCK....I HOPE YOU GET THE BIG ONE!!!!!!!
