elk application deadlines?

does anyone know the dates for filing applications in Colorado and New Mexico and when the results are known?

CO---4/2/13 and results posted on or before 5/24

NM---Toward the end of March and couldn't find either actual date

Elk apps

New Mexico is usually around the end of March with results around the 10th of May. They reduced the unguided non-resident tags from 10% to 6% of the total a couple years ago.

Isn't everywhere in a drought?

hopefully they'll get some moisture this year and next year I think I'll be elk hunting.

Colorado Elk

The great thing about Colorado is you can buy archery tags over the counter. If you want bow hunt I suggest just going that route. Im still waiting on a friend to give me info on NM. A great site to look at would be "huntthewest.com". This guy has all the info you will need and he keeps his site up to date.
