I hunted hard this year for a bow buck but I couldn't get it done and the first in many. I didn't get the one I wanted so I settled for him yesterday. I watched him 4 hours while he was rutting hard. I was in open country and it took me a while to work my way to him. I was 3/4 of a mile from the road and had to make 2 trips in to pack the meat out. The one picture is some of the meat laying on the snow bank till I packed it up to pack out. The snow was deeoer then I thought.

Private land. Public land gets hit hard so if you don't have private land it can be a hard hunt. I have land I have hunted for years from people I know and this is my home. It can be hard if you don't know some land owners in the state you want to hunt.
