Default Lemons=Lemonade?

...So I find out today that I begin a layoff at the end of this week that lasts until November 3rd...At first, I' m a bit panicked and not feeling very proud that I have to collect unemployment for the first time ever and after 28 years of working for a living. Then it hits me... I have 2 elk tags and a deer tag. Grouse season is in full swing and other small game commences on October 1st. I' ve just been released in the midst of HUNTING SEASON! I don' t write this to gloat, but to proclaim my humblest Thanks to God and the fates for a positive twist to an otherwise rough situation. Lemons to Lemonade as it were. If any of you Hunting Net members will be in the Gunnison Basin this Fall, it appears that I will have some time on my hands. Drop me a line. Blessings come in strange ways at strange times!

Yeah..and I have twin 9 year old boys just getting interested in hunting with whom I can share some of it on the weekends. Seems like a gift the more I think about it. Beats a pity party by a long ways.

I know it' s hard to take unemployment for someone proud to work hard, but hey you pay into it, and you know you won' t always get that much time off to hunt so all I would say is, LIVE IT UP MY MAN[8D]

chicagojoe: Fishing up at Tayor Res. (nearby Spring Creek Res. is fishing well) has been a bit off. As you probably know, the drought over the last 3 years has drained the reservoirs down to miserable levels and for what ever reason, they did not let them refill with the decent snowpack from the winter and great rain we' ve had all summer. I will tell ' ya that if they do let a little stay in there from the good late summer/early fall rain we are now receivving that the ice fishing this winter could be great.
