Short hunting this year. I only made it up three times with the bow. Shot a nice buck on opening morning with the rifle and an elk last night (opening day). Not complaining. Maybe I can try predator calling lions...
Opening day for elk was good. Saw a couple in the morning in the timber, but it was too thick to get a shot. I did come across this little cow right at dark thirty so didn't get any really good photos. A lot of good eatin' right there. Plenty of butchering this week.

Just returned from my first elk and mule deer hunt in wyoming and I must say it was great. On my second day of my elk hunt I took a 6x6 bull and on the third day of my mule deer hunt I took a 5x4 muley. I waited a long time to do this hunt, I hope I can do this again, just being outdoors was well worth the trip
