PA Bear

Hey guys,

I'll be able to hunt bear in Pennsylvania for two days this year. My school schedule is gonna work out and give me the time, so I'm gonna take advantage of it.
I have seen bear 8 different years while deer hunting in the ten years I've hunted. So, I know there are bear in the area. But I always see them on accident. Either they come out on a drive, or I see them while still hunting.
I'll be hunting alone, so no driving. What will be my best chance to get myself a shot at a bear this year? SHould I still hunt both the days? Should I sit mornings and evenings and still hunt in between? Sit all day??
Also, if I should sit, what kind of terrain am I looking for? I have more land than I can cover available to me. VArying from open fields, open woods, thick woods, thick cut outs, deep ravines, creek bottoms, ridgelines.
Like I said, I know bears are in the area, I just do not know how to specifically pattern them. I regularly see tracks and sign, but they don't seem to focus on a specific area like deer do.
Thanks for the help,
-Jake

Its fall, and the bears are chowing down, how was the berry crop in PA this year? They're gonna be in berries and acorns, and what ever else they can fatten up on. Don't know if you can bait bears in PA, but only having 2 days it would be a good bet, calling also works, but being by yourself it can be a bit un-nerving to have a bear pop out of the brush, drowling, poping his jaws, snarling, and running right at you. Don't forget, they can run at 35mph. But calling works best when you can see the bear first. not that blind calling won't work. Honey burns will bring them out for a look. Have you read these?
