then read these two articles:
Premium rifle bullets
300 Win Mag winners

Read them both because they have different info.
One liked the x bullet best and the other the Swift a frame.
They compare them to the fail safe and the partition and several other common bullet types including a couple plain jane factory loads which tested very well.

After reading the both test.Seems in the slower .30-06 the Barnes is the way to go. Ane in the faster .300 win mag the Swift. Nosler, the benchmark 30 years ago, seems has been surpassed by serveral bullet designs. Anyone choosing Swift, Fail Safe or Barnes would be doing well.

180 gr. Barnes X, Trophy Bonded Bear Claw, Swift A-Frame, Nosler Partition, or Win. Fail Safe.
