Idaho Muleys

I'm getting ready to hunt in the boise natl forest, near the sawtooth mtn range... any tips on hunting big muleys would be appreciated...I'm kind of going at this blind but just want to stand a chance... I live in missouri and not too familiar with the area. I've called the idaho game and fish and spoke with some wildlife biologists... they said to try to get around 7 - 8 thousand feet elevation and glass... that gets me away from the hunting pressure near idaho city... also any tips on black bear would help... my tag is good for black bear and mtn lion as well... not to sound desperate but ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!
