Mako - Good luck! I hope to do Alberta next year, or the following year. Doing New Brunswick, and hopefully Texas this year (and Arizona, of course)

412 is nice country but it is not one of the prime areas in alberta for big bull moose. The best moose come from the remote northern areas of alberta due to very limited access.Actually although some big moose do come out of alberta northern B.C. produces many more moose and they tend to be substantially larger on average.Alberta hunts are however cheaper than B.C. hunts.

I posted some comments on the " OTHER" regional forum.

If I lived in N.Y. and wanted a good moose I would go to Newfondland. By gum they got lots of moose there.

THANK YOU ALL FOR LUCK AND INFO,

THE RUT HUNT COST 4000.00 USD. PLUS I ADDED MULE DEER & BEAR (250.00 EACH) PLUS LICENSE FEES. THE OUTFITTER THROWS IN A WOLF & COYOTE TAG, BUT HAS A 700.00 TROPHY FEE ON WOLF.
