Colorado Unit 45 all of bow season on Fri., Sat., Sun., till I get one. Then again for the second rifle season for cows for 9 days. I have a wall I need filled. Hopefully this year will be the BIG one with bow.

Idaho Unit 43 Nov. 10-30. Controlled hunt for cows. Everyone I know says I should get one...but I' ll have to wait and see. I' ve only been elk hunting three times and have only seen two elk. My friend I was hunting with shot a spike on the other side of the mountain from me. And last year I was bow hunting in unit 32A here in Idaho, but the weather was 95-100 degrees. Two guys on horseback shot a cow and that was it. If I shot one, the meat woiuld have spoiled. I' d never been able to get it all out by mself in a timely manner. Anyway, hopefully this year will be the year! Good luck to everyone else.

I' ll be in Montana in Sept. fo my first Rut Hunt for the Big' un. Then back home to WA.,to try my luck here as well:)

Eastern Oregon for 10 days!! mid september archery. rutting bulls are so much fun to hunt. :D
