Default Elk Hunting Unit 78 Colorado

I am planning my first Colorado elk hunt. We are going to try to get a Muzzleloader tag for Unit 78 Sept. 11-19th but if not we will be going the last 10 days of the archery season Sept 17-26 with bows. I know that people are unwilling to give specific advice or give up their honey holes but I was wondering if anyone has any advice on maybe general areas to hike to or areas to stay away from in Unit 78. I looked at the Colorado's website and looked up the NDIS maps but don't know if they are fairly accurate or not. We will be there in Sept so we hope to hear some bugling. We are willing to hike in 5+ miles and set up camp so let me know what you think. We have been hunting whitetails in MO for years but this is my first Elk adventure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!!!
