Just curious if anyone can respond to this question...I have hunted mulies before, but not for a few years. I drew a tag for CO this year and was wandering if an occasional grunt or bleat would do any good, or am I asking a foolish question?
For whitetails, a grunt is an awesome tool...

Not a foolish question however Muleys are not very vocal at all. Thats not to say they never make a sound but it is rare. Leave the calls at home when going muley hunting.

I don' t think they are vocal as much as a Whitey, but last year a shot rang out up the canyon and it caused a Buck right under my nose to grunt very loudly as he took off, I missed him(later found my scope was busted) but I steered him right to my huntin' partner, and he didn' t miss. I would' ve probably never seen that Buck if he wouldn' t have grunted.
