Default WI Preference Points for Bear

So I have been bowhunnting whitetail for about 8 years. I also just recently bought a piece of land in Northern WI. I am interested in hunting bear with my bow. Just wondering if anyone can explain the preferance point system, and how it works?

thanks

It depends which zone you are in. I hunted in zone B in 2008. It took 10 years to draw a tag. In zone A you can get one in 6-8 years I believe.

You will be waiting a little while but if you have good land with some nice bear its possible to rent it to bear guides up there or have buddys rent it to come hunt them, ect. WCL
