Paul,

Keep plugging in those NH and ME lottery applications. Just when you least expect it, your turn may come.

Don't give up.

For a great time I would try Snowshoe Lake Hunting and Fishing out of Millertown, Newfoundland. I hunted 3 years in a row from 2003 to 2005 with them for caribou but they also take out moose hunters with very high success rates on nice bulls. We always saw plenty of moose and had 100% success on trophy caribou all 3 years. I would have been going back except I now do a DIY Colorado elk hunt instead. The lodging is comfortable and the food just fantastic. They always have great guides and overall it was a wonderful experience. We drove from VT and it was about 15 hours to the ferry then a 6-7 hour passage we usually took at night and slept on board then about 6 hours to the lodge. It is a family run operation and anyone interested please PM me for more details.

Paul:

In addition to the New Foundland hunt I PM'ed you about we also have a British Columbia hunt that is a great deal. Here is the link for the hunt details: http://www.premierhuntingadventures....93-hunt-17-mo/

It is $5500 per hunter and only two hunters taken on this 10 day hunt. We ended up booking a single hunter on this hunt in 2009. He killed the 4th bull he saw on Day 3. Below is a photo of his bull.

If you can draw a New Brunswick moose tag we have an outfitter that will give you a free moose hunt when you book a black bear hunt with them and they actually have a pretty good success ratio on their moose hunts and a very good success ratio on their bear hunts. The only client of ours that drew a moose tag to take advantage of this deal killed his moose. It was a young bull but he had already missed a big bull. The moose hunt is basically free other than paying for the fuel it takes the to get you your moose. You go up a week earlier than your scheduled bear hunt and do your moose hunt then when you have either killed your moose or run out of time you begin your bear hunt. If you can draw the tag it is a great deal. You have a very legitimate chance of killing a moose and a black bear for around $2500.
