Default What makes a good Big Game website?

Some of you will have noticed, I come from the opposite end of the globe. I participate in this forum to learn all about you northern hunters, gradually I' m getting an impression and learning how you do things, your passions and your ethics.
We are not too dissimilar.
The question I want to ask here is what are your opinions on the right way to portray hunting on a website. I want to know these things as I' m thinking of making one for myself.
I look at some outfitter' s sites and I see dead animals besplattered in blood and often at uncomplimentary angles. Is there an ethic/etiquette that applies.
Personally I prefer the sites that show live animals and give good indication of the terrain in which the hunting is done.

I agree about the kill shots. Some are ok but I do feel alot are poorly done. I develop web applications for a living so if you have any questions let me know. I' m almost always willing to help fellow hunters. Some things I like in a good big game site:
-Tips on hunting the animals and lots of animal bio. info
-Good forums to get questions answered
-Tips on good gear
-How to articiles
-lots of pictures of live animals
Things I like in a good website:
-easy to navigate
-wheel site layout ( I can further explain this if needed but basically a center page for the home page and all other pages can be seen as spokes off of that page. Meaning all pages can easily return to that page and you can access most of the other pages from that page. )
-Not overloaded with graphics
-Not overly dependent on flash, java, or shockwave.
-Black or dark colored font against a white or light background.
-not clutered
Hope those help.

The best sites have a place where outdoorsmen can shoot the sh!t without irritating other for being off topic. All structure and little personality makes a place dull.

I think you should contact Ted Nuggent, ask his opinion, basicly what I am saying is this, I will continue to hunt and fish, in a legal way, I will also celebrate my kills with everyone that wants to listen or look, if you are offended, tuff.[:-]
I always hate to be the one to break the news to everyone else, but, hunting includes killing,[&o] period! You cant surgar coat it. But on the other hand dont be disgusting[X(], use some common sense. Hope that helps.
