Default Got A Mulie!

Nothing special, just a doe with my bow but she'll produce some nice steaks and roast. We didn't see jack crap for elk. I'm hoping the full moon this weekend will get them making some noise. Right now it's really hard to locate them. I'm going up for a day hunt on wed and again on sunday. Wish me luck. Good luck to everyone else that's going out.

The rut is usually after the first full moon in September. At least that's what a lot of folks say. I do know they are already herded up and have been for a while. Here's a pic of my doe. I don't know why it came out sideways. LMAO!

I am heading out to Montana on the 19th on my first bow hunt for elk. Killed a few out there with a rifle now I'am going to try it with a bow. I will need some luck, hopefully some beginners luck.

Good luck with the elk. (Sometimes you have to rotate the picture when you resize)

Congrats on the Doe. Last year we hear Bulls all night long for 4 nights on the full moon during ML season. We didn't see or hear one during the day. I don't like hunting a full moon because they are usually active at night.
