woow that is some cool stuff. Looks to me like you have it all figured out. I was able to go up to Manitoba bear hunting last spring and it sure made for some memories. Hated them B-52 bombers that you guys call mosquito's. But it sure was an adventure I will never forget.

I'm far from and expert and over the years have made a ton of mistakes but bear hunting is such a hoot, this year had my partner sit with me (I know everyone just recoiled in horror about taking the girlfriend hunting) but she really never understood why i love it so much, she sat a few times and really understands, she was there the night i shot my bear, those killer bugs you speak of wyheadhunter are always an issue but i have found the miracle cure, use the thermacell on stand and can sit without a headnet and can manage an evening without a single bite!

check out this trail cam pic

I went with an outfitter that didn't want them in his camp. Of course outfitters worry about success rates so probably mulch over everything to much. They had said that the thermoscells toss out scent after the time they have been around them. I don't know nothing about what they say cause we don't have to worry much about such things here. We were more worried about having a great hunt so we heeded there warnings. We used bug suits with good results but thank you for the added info that will be added in the memory bank. Lot of big bears with thermocell.

I'd be curious to hear what others say but i have now been using them for 3 years and have had so many bears walk in and not seem to notice the slight odor that's given off, it makes such a difference it's crazy, if you look at my video of when i found my bear you can see how severe the bugs are, after pics were done i fired up the thermacell and we skinned out the bear in short sleeve shirts, no bugs

well it's getting close to bear hunting season again, thought I would post a few pics of the different bears I had through the bait this spring, I see by some of the other posts that there are some planning to head up to Canada, have a look at some of my visitors....good luck to all this fall bear season.
