Default AZ archery elk

Drew my tag after nine years for 6a south. Have taken some bulls in last 10 years--1st archery bull(1st archery hunt) last year in CO--nice warm-up. I have been doing some research on AZGF site and am getting fired up. I drew my tag using USO (I know, I know...) and I guess I am stuck with them but am hoping for the best--I have had some positive feedback re: them. Anybody hunt this area? Archery hunt with USO? (I have heard some negative things but all with gun hunters). Any feedbak is appreciated. Also I am new to posting here but have been a big fan for years. Thanks in advance.

I am using them for Wyoming, I wouldn't had a friend who used them a few years ago and the outfitter he went with was top notch. I would suggest asking what outfitter you will be hunting with and do some research on others who have hunted in 6A...which is a good unit.

Cruise the different forums and you should turn something up. Me, I would be pumped. Congrats and good luck

First off if you drew a tag for AZ, aside from a contract I suppose with USO... your tag is your tag, they can't keep your tag from you, though I don't know what a contract with them says.

I didn't draw AZ, can't wait for those refunds! but I think I recall 6A being pretty good unit.

Good job on last years elk, any pics? Practice practice!

I hear its been a pretty wet spring....or winter, with storms not just early on, so hopefully a big year for antler growth!

you did get a good unit 6a. i've been drawn 3 out of 4 years and have killed every time. even though last year i only got a spike but he sure was tender and tasty. 4 years ago i got a little 6x6. 3 years ago i got a big 6x6 (about 350").but all of those were with a rifle. anyways you got a good unit. good luck. ndncreek
