[:@]Well I am up to 4 preference points now and no elk tag yet.Already had a trip to Colorado elk hunting this year so I didn't put out the BIG money for the special tag and I didn't draw in Unit 7 again.....I talked to my buddy and he said 4 guys he knew that put in for the special tag draw all drew in unit 7 with 3 points. Guess I should have coughed up the money it just pisses me off. Maybe next year I will do it since I am giving the about $70 a year for the last 4 years anyway.[:@][:'(]

Didn't draw unit 7 either. Think I had 2pts going into the draw.

Personally I wish they had seperate rifle and archery seasons/tags, because I'll be going archery when I do draw, essentially I have to draw a rifle tag, then go archery hunting with it. And of course rifle tags are always higher demand lower odds, so if they did offer just an archery tag, could draw more often with fewer pts...and so on.

Though not a big loss this year, cash is low, so I earned another point.

Personally I think you're better off taking 2 elk trips in 2 years, than 2 trips in 1 year.

The draw odds in WY are published pretty clearly.
