RE: looking for an elk outfitter

Dick Ray's "Lobo Outfitters" out of Pagosa Springs Colorado, hunting in both New Mexico and Colorado, prices from around $1500 to $6000, depending on public or private land, number of hunters, lodge or tent, truck or horseback, guided to drop camp. They are simply the best. They run about 75% on 6x6 bulls.

I would suggest looking into New Mexico, worth applying. I love Colorado and go every year, but looking back it wouldn't be my first choice for elk hunting. The bull quality in New Mexico is better and chances to draw these units with an outfitter using a bow is better than you think

Check out Keith White Outfitting...good outfit and have had some people I know hunt there, and more than once.

I work with 25 outfitters throughout Colorado. I have some excellent deals on alot of different archery elk hunts, from private to public. None will be over the 3500.00. Great hunts, not Arizona or New Mexico bulls, but some very respectable 5x5s and smaller 6x6s, in the 270-290 range. Let me know if I can help out.
