Me and my 40" moose
Shot at 126 yards with 30/06 ,180 gr winchester silver tip,
took me almost 8 hours to gut, drag him out and load him
(and I used to think shooting large deer by myself was a ton of work..)

Nice bull.....I got a 40 inch 19 point set of antlershanging in my garage that I got in Northwestern Ontario a number of years back. The .30-06 in 180 grain is good/bafor going to far back in the bush.d medicine for moose depending on if you are the hunter or the moose. We boyz are getting too old .....the rule now is that no one can go in the bush more than 1/4 mile while moose hunting...we don't use ATVs, just the old fashioned way, drag the 1/4s....we used to put the 1/4 over our shoulder and walk but now we are a little less limber. I do know that those windfalls drive a hunter crazy trying to drag a 1/4 or even a deer back to the truck.
