Congrats on the bull bsurplus2003, here is a pick of my buddies mule deer, lots more pics on my blog with link below. I passed up several nice mule deer bucks yesterday and saw one that I am going back after. We ended up wounding a bear and tracking it through heavy vegetation and steep terrain all afternoon yesterday, my friend I was with went back in today to resume tracking, I hope he finds it. We were on our way out of a canyon when the bear bolted out of an old apple orchard below us, I missed my first shot and then settled into my second and saw fur fly from his shoulder where my bullet hit. My buddy thought he hit it too, and we expected to find it right away, but a mile and 5 hours later still no bear, just blood here and there. I am wondering if I just hit it in the shoulder with a glancing shot and didn't get any vitals.

Here is another of my favorite pics from opening weekend. Our Idaho redneck packstring. Watching my buddy balance on his bike was entertaining. Also notice my friends 6 year old son to the left who insisted on wearing a packboard and was mad that we wouldn't let him try and pack the skull out. Pretty impressive for 6 years old considering it was almost 4 miles in and another 4 out, and those were up and down miles not level.
