RE: maine moose hunt
This is my second year for app. Hope I get drawed this year. Did you use a outfitter. Good job on your moose.

RE: maine moose hunt
les, are you a resident? From what I hear, it is extremely difficult for a non-resident to get a permit.

RE: maine moose hunt
i used allagash sporting camps..john oleary..first class people..207-398-3555 as far as a non residents chances..its more likely you have a better chance to draw....every resident...grand ma..grand pop..and the kids apply....i got lucky...pulled first time i put in ...odds are if you dont try.....you sure wont get one...

RE: maine moose hunt
les:
This year our Maine moose hunt is going to be a little messed up! The early season while warm is always the best due to the buls being in or near peak rut. The second season this year is going to be late. Two weeks after the first hunt. Bulls can still be called but this year we are going to find out who can call and who can' t. Don' t for get that this year you will not have an option of taking a cow if you fail to see a bull. We are going to predict a kill in the 65 to 70% mark. good luck to everyone in the draw! |
