At 100 yards and moose I don't think it will matter, you can't make a bad decisions with either.

Personally I would be more concerned about the bullet than weight. I use Barnes TSX bullets and can't get over how tough and destructive they are.

Yup if it were me I would use Federal Vital Shok 180 Barnes TSX. Put one through the boiler and it won't go far. I use that load for deer and elk and it is a winner.

Thank you all for your input. My freindhas 20 years experience and confidence withthe 180 grain bullet, (does a number on our Vt whitetail) so your input went right in harmony with his gut feelings.
