What's the hunting like the first week of May in Alberta? I have hunted only the end of May in the past.

I live in Northern Alberta and to be honest,my favorite time to hunt bears is the first two weeks of May.The hides are unrubbed,and the mosquitoes are not out in full force yet.However,a late winter can result in many bears still not being active at the start of May.

Where bouts you going? Peace River area is LOADED with bear. Went in August last year and couldn't hardly throw a stick without hitting one. Saw 22 bears in 2 days! Awesome hunt and the experience of a lifetime.

Any suggestions on a good outfitter up there in Alberta???? We went to Sask last June 08 and had a blast Now we are looking at Alberta

I have readabout them and seen a video with them Are they as good as they look ???? I know that the Archers Choice couple went there and shot some hogs

I went with Bear Paw Outfitters and shot a nice bear and seen some absolute toads. My buddy passed one 7'4", killed the next night. A lot of good area around there. Good luck
