Drew my first choice today for Elk. . . .both my boy and I will enjoy a ranching for wildlife hunt this fall. 


Only have a little pronghorn left from last season and little left of a cow named elvis.
Fresh meat is a comin soon.

No expert but. . . some of the big private ranches, put some tags up for drawing, no extra fees, TIPS are encouraged with the ranch hands. I think this help them manage there herds and get them some points with DOW. The big dolloar hunters want trophies, because of this cow draws are impossible to get. Each ranch may be a little different. I don't think the one I drew does arch or ML. But I wanted a hunt that would be a good way for my son to have a very positve/fun hunt with a high chance for success. Wanted to keep the boys pumnped about the sport. Elk hunting can test your patients unless you have lots of points and time.

Nope just study the DOW stuff and pick a ranch, check the needed points etc. and then next year when you fill out your dream sheet put in the hunt code for it and cross your fingers.
