Elk no doubt about it. There is nothing better then hunting elk and seeing all the mulies in rut not even caring that you are there.

I would have to say the wild boar is the up and coming big game animal in this country. The boar seasons are extremely generous in most areas, you can hunt with a wide variety of weapons in a wide variety of seasons, hunting boar can be quite a challenge, and they' re exciting to hunt. I think that as they expand their range, they might become the most popular big game animal in the country.

I like hunting them all. If i have to choose my fav though, it' s " trophy class" Whitetails, you pick the weapon, I prefer hunting in Saskatchewan(part. the forest fringe areas). Something about the difference each animal brings in horns, body size, approach, etc. They can appear like a ghost or come in like a truck. Vocal sometimes to the trained ear and others not a peep. Typical, non-typical, high, wide, globs of mass, brown, black or white horns. They can smell, hear, see and sneak. Graceful, smart, adaptible and fast.

Tell me, whats not to love about whitetails!!!

I hunt whitetails all of the time. I had a blast when I hunted caribou. A lot of action with many animals seen and many close encounters.
