Default Binoculars (Nikon vs. Cabelas)

I am looking at two binoculars: Nikon Monarch ATB and the Cabelas outfitter series (made by Steiner). Monarch are $300 and the Cabelas are $500. I can get either free due to Cabelas Bucks on my Cabelas Visa. Opinions on whether the Cabelas are worth the extra $200. TIA

I would go with which ever has a lifetime warranty. Good luck.

I personally like the Vortex line, but between the 2 I've heard nothing but good about the Monarchs.

Ya really can't go wrong with Cabelas stuff..
If your not happy with the performance ya can take them back any time no questions asked.
Not just when they break......

You get a lot of bang for your buck with Nikon. My personal favorite is Brunton, but I don't know if Cabelas carries Brunton or not.

Actually, the Cabelas are $600, so the price difference is $300.

The nikons come with a 25 year warranty.

The Cabelas are backed by a 10 year Steiner warranty.

The nikons are looking better.

I was looking for binos around this price range, looked through them all at Cabelas, personally by far, Pentax dcf sp 10x43 are awesome! On sale at cabelas website now! Not sure if they're renewing their stock or discontinued, but they are better than any zeiss, etc....I saw in the $600-1000 price range. and are about 500-600, best value period!
