If you mean gun season the Co. second season is tough on public land. THe elk get pressured from the first season go nocturnal and head for the quiet - distant places. Pay attention to major paring areas and don't hunt there! Instead, carefully study maps to get on the backside of the pressured areas. This may mean a lot of walking.
