Plan to hunt the first day with archery and follow up with riffle the second day. The owner claims 500#-700# spikes? This sounds a bit much to me. I'm sure they receive the best feed up to the day they’re killed, but 500+ for a spike????? Has any one heard of this place and what did the hear? Using this planned hunt to gain experience in the Rockies and with animals larger that deer. Have hunted them unsuccessfully in WA and have helped butcher many.

Tell you what Lrac I only live an hour or so from this place so I'd be willing to cruise down that way and check it for ya. I am a photographer by hobby so I'll take some pics so you can take a look for yourself. When is your deadline to make a decision?

Thanks "Rather be Huntin". I'm quite sure that was live weight. And think it’s probably inflated. But plan to hunt even with the numbers you gave me in a past topic. It would be interesting to see some unbiased Pics. As long as they don't have "Billy Bull" tied up behind the cook tent, I still think it's probably worth the experience. At least archery puts more skill in the equation. He said last night on the phone he was getting the contract ready to go in the mail. He also claimed that every animal is checked for CWD, which is becoming more of a concern. My wife's uncle in Wisconsin whishes something would have been done. He's not in the area where they want to kill every deer but is very concerned it will spread. They count on several deer filling the freezer each year.
