What are you using rifle, bow cross bow, spear?
Rifle I aim for the front shoulders broadside(try to take out the wheels,standing/straight on dead center of chest).Bow and arrow 1/4 away about half way upangled through the front of the aft leg.
On a bear the heart/lunges are behind the front shoulders, aim behind the shoulderas close to the front leg as posible.
