Here is a Mule Deer rack found by my cattle forman's dad, when he worked for my dad on the same ranch in the late 1960's. They hunted this big fella for years with no success. Then one spring morning they were gathering cattle in the area that they had seen him, and picked up the skull. He apparently had winter killed, but the rack was in excellent condition. He has had it on his wall now for about 35 years.
The other night I gave my forman my camera and asked him if he could get a photo of it at his dad's house. It is 11x13 and has a 34" outside spread, but has never been scored.

Nice buck, I have been chasing one here for the last 3 years and did not see him this season, probably winter killed also.
