I drew for an archery draw tag for elk and can't wait. Hopefully I'll be hunting the last two weeks of season. Is it September yet???

I checked my results andI got my first choice"ELK-Either Sex-1st Rifle Season" in my requested area---- perfect!
Now I just need todraw a"Cow Only" elk tag in the leftover drawingthis Augustand I'll be all set!

We like to have several "double tag hunters" in our group; two main advantages:

(1)The "Party Hunting" bruhaha" effectively ceases to exist.

(2) Since we hunt in pairs, you get two guys knocking down 3-4 elk and the camp is automatically assured of at least an average "harvest year." (One more reason to use a cartridge that consistently puts them down on the spot with basic marksmanship and NO tracking required.)

I missed the ML SW bull license but did draw a cow tag as a second choice.2 of my buddies drew ML Bull tags. Maybe I will get a deer tag (hopefully).

I wish New Mexico would have the draw sooner like Colorado!! I have to wait untill June 20th,and every day airline tickets just keep going up and up...[:@]
