Thanks, Jones. You have a great picture, too. That must be quite an experience to pack in on horseback.
Bummer about all the wolves. I had heard great things about the Gardiner area. I never ran intowolves over in my area. I'll have to find a new spot this year though, since I recently moved to Missoula... just when I felt like I was starting to get my area figured out!

Just when I feel like I have the best hunting grounds, I have to post this and see some amazing shots!
I think my favorite part is that there is so much pride in all of our areas, but that pride isn't in just one generation. The diversity in posters and in hunter's ages shows that hunting will have a lot of strength for years to come.
Let's me sigh in relief a little bit knowing that I will have other people in the fight against anti-hunting/anti-gun/pro-wolf/pro-grizzly reintroduction/pro-forest closure activists that I see seeping into my neighborhood!
Keep these post coming that are getting some of us addicted to this site!!!

i believe it to be one of the most beautiful places on earth, this was our only clear day, the whole week was clouds, could hardly see 20 yards, sucked for sheep hunting, but an adventure it was.
it is nine miles as the raven fies from the road to camp, but 23 miles on the 4 wheeler trip meter, one way
i wouldnt trade this place for anywhere in the world
