Looking for a good brown bear hunt with a bow

look around canada or alaska

im booked for this fall with gus lamoureax of ugashik lake outfitters. it will be a bowhunt.
i researched him for 2 years before making that decision, its a biggie. from what i hear he is the real deal.

should know a bit more on the topic in october.

They recently did a show on Brown bears on "The Choice". If you check out their website they have the oufitter listed and what they thought. At least it is a place to start. Good luck, the hunt for an outfitter is often as tough as the hunt for the animal and definitely more stressful.

If I were you I would look on Jack Brittingham's website. The guides he hunts with up in alaska have put him on some HUGE bears. Jack actually holds the P&Y record right now. And he has another bear that is ranked like fourth or something I can't remember for sure. Needless to say, two top Ten bears from the same outfitter. Whem I hit the Lotto that is who I am calling.

I would get a hold of Jim Shockey. He is a great hunter. And runs his own guide service. Who knows maybe you will get lucky enough to be filmed and put on tv!

Yeah, Ralph and Vicki suggest Renfro's. They're supposed to be a great outfit and very resonable, as far as outfitting for brown bear goes.

I was just checking out their rates, today. Since I really don't want to finance any kind of hunt, I'll definitely need to save for a couple of years for a hunt like that.
