I am planning my first elk hunt for next fall. It is going to be a Colorado bowhunt. I plan on hunting public ground maybe the White river national forest or San Juan area. What are some ideas for places to sleep. Is it best to backpack in and camp or could i stay at a cabin and hike out each day. Any ideas or recommendations?

Look up Buford Store Outfitters on the internet. They have cabins and camping.

Also look up Sleepy Cat Resort.

Or put up a tent in White River NF along the road.
