Never underestimate a black bear. My wife and I were charged at night while retrieving my game cam in the woods. it was not a pretty sight. We made it back to the ATV fine... I tripped over a downed tree and the spotlight went flying... then came the darkness!!!!! not a good situation and worse when I got home... wifey was not happy

See, that's what happens when you listen to me, I told you in another thread to put bacon in your pockets for good luck, and it brought you nothing good.
On a serious note, I'm glad you guys made it OK, I bet that really scary.
Hope you get to get that bugger come bear hunting season.

youngun,
worst part is that it is hunting season and I let it go one day.. I estimated it to be about 200 pounds.. I already have a bear rug and do not have the money to mount another at the moment which is the reason I let it walk..... plus I didn't really enjoy the meat as much as venison! I enjoyed watching him but that night was scary.

p.s. Glad you're OK.
If this was to happen to me and my wife, I'd be better off being chewed by the bear than by her!!!

It is pretty sickning, going from 9-0 to 10-3 in four games.
The problem isn't Manning, he isn't on the field long enough to throw passes. Three-and-out on two hand-offs and a dropped pass.
I gotta admit, Vince young is going to be good one, especiallyif he can learn to throw beyond 20 yards.

After Alex Smith was such a stupid flop, I wasn't expecting Vince to be a good QB, I was thinking that it was a mistake for him to leave Texas, but he's been doing pretty good there. Who knows? Maybe he can lead the Titans into a season with more wins than losses?
I'm more of a Patriots fan myself, and I wasjust happy to see that we got beat at home by 7 instead of by 14 or more!
They're making progress, and Rome wasn't built in one day, but I think that the real improvement for the Pats is the new turf, it doesn't freeze up so hard, and people don't get so badly injured.
The fact that Brady can slide is a plus too.
