I've seen that video before several times but how nobody was hurt is still amazing to me no matter how many times I see it

No one was shot!!!That is fracked up at the least.I can't believe the mistakes and carelessness of that.If the lion was just over a bit more,He would of ripped that guys head completely off his body.I would never hunt dangerous game without a semi chopped down 12 loaded to the hilt with 00 shot Maybe consider slugs all so.Them *Deleted* are some of the luckiest people not to been maimed or killed.I thought it was illegal to hunt lions any more? It all so looked like a pen.

Most of us saw this a year ago and fell into 2 camps. I am in the "wish the lion ate the guy camp." The disscusion was about canned hunting. This lion is shot inside a fenced ranch.

Regardless which camp one fell into, one fact remains....
Canned hunt, fenced area, lots of hunters, lots of guns, hunters got to make the first move....
and the lion STILL almost won the day,

A very worthy adversary, even with the odds all stacked in ones favor.

I think I first saw this clip five years ago or so, still pretty amazing to watch.

Hate to say it but I felt bad watching it seeing those fences and knowing that lion had nowhere to run. There is something to be said for "Fair Chase". Just don't feel it sheds a good light on hunting but that's just an opinion...

Maybe I'm totally wrong, and I'm not quite sure where to look for the final answer to this, but I was to understand that this was a problem lion and they were dispatched to take care of him. Anyone know? If it truly was a cannedhunt, then I am definately against it. There mightbe a reason somewhere for them, but I don't believe this was one of them.

I have to believe this is a canned hunt. If it was a problem lion, there are much easier ways to deal with the animal.

cheers,
