I think that will be a great trip and am expecting a full report when you finally get to go.

Cause Finesiten and boxer pretty well hate anything with guns and hunting. But you can just feel the irony.
I don't guess that they'll fare too well with the hippies this upcoming election, since there's a good size minority of people in California that want elk to live, and they'd much rather have the elk get killed little by little, and still live, instead of them being massacred like the buffalo.

I don't see how the two Senators would take their anti-hunting views upon the elk and mule deer. It doesn't make any sense to me.

What you're not seeing is that the Elk and Mulies there are non-native and are eating some rare plants that exist no where else. To people like Fienstien the order of things is:
1. Green Things
2. Furry Things
3. Human Things

Hence, she is willing to kill the elk on the island to save the plants, but she would also be willing to kill (or at least remove) the humans to save the elk (if they weren't killing the plants that is).

Sounds like a great trip and if you don't go before 2011, you'll never get the chance.

Good luck.

Why doesn't she move the elk from the island to the mainland? Or, better yet, move some plants to the mainland, so that the plants won't go extinct.

Have they actually passed the amendment yet? Or is it still being debated?

jmo, but any place that charges $5K and LIMITS you to a maximum size restriction is a joke and not somewhere where i would want to hunt.
