Default The freezer is full

I just got back from opening weekend of elk season. I got this old girl Saturday evening, then spent most of the day Sunday getting her out. I saw elk the entire time I was up there- from sunup to sundown. The hardest part was getting up on a herd before some other knuckleheads scared them off- some of those idiots were racing all over the place on ATV's and some were trying to shoot the elk from at least 600 yards away. It got old fast. But all in all, it was a fun hunt. My little brother filled his tag, and if my uncle fills his next weekend it'll be either the 3rd or 4th year in a row that we've filled all of our tags.

There is no better feeling than having the freezer full before Thanksgiving.
Good Job!

Congratulations, it is kind of hard to tell; however, that looks like a good sized cow.

ATV's and elk hunting and public ground..... IMHO, a baaaad combination and everyone has an excuse why it should be good for THEM.

My son and I filled the freezer last week, big cow and a yearling cow. One of the funnest hunts I've had in years. hunted during the week so we hardly saw any other hunters.

That is a good sized cow. Always fulfilling to get it cut, wrapped, and in the freezer...then the loooong wait until next season.lol

The worst thing that can happen whilegoing into the mountain is a sound of ATVs.
