Default Pronghorns, great father-son hunt (or daughter)

First time hunting out west. Some good advise from fellow posters on not needing a guide or paying for private access. thank you guys. We took these inSE montana opening day. I had scouted the area a month before, met the ranchers-- the block mgt system is terrific, would highly recommend a self-hunt for goats in MT. My son took his at 275 yds w 243, 95 gr BT,what a long stalk, great shot-- mine was easier, as we were able to get in closer behind some hills, about 100 yrds-- an 06, 150 gr BT.More than I needed,I just like my model 70.I think Elk is next--you can't beat the west when yourea new englander. Can't wait to start planning....

That was my first hunt, and it was with my dad too, I'll never forget it.

Great job guys! Looks like your son gets bragging rights. Tougher shot, and it looks like a slightly better speed goat...
