Yep,
They walk around allnight and sleep in late.
What area ya you looking for???
I hear tell of some bugles coming out of the belts(448) and breaks(410,417),I geuss the fire over in 410 and 700 realy screwed them up.I also watched somevideo of some bulls screaming their heads off over by White Sulfur on wed's last week.
I'm heading into the Bob Marshall on Friday to hunt Sat,Sun and Mon.Just talked to a local up there not much going, some lone bugles and bachalor bulls still running around.
I dout the big part of the rut will start for another week-week and a 1/2.Weather is still warm some cool days and back to hot,if we get a big weather front to move in we could see this rut heat up.
Let me know if i can be of anymore help.

Hey Chad,
I was pretty good over in 410,it burned alot over by crooked creek, and chain buttes. It pushed the elk all around and pushed some out.
There were several over in 700,over by where we hunted, burned ALOT on that place I saw that big bull, then there was some south by the Mussleshell. From what I'm being told by producers over in 700 that this is the earliest they have had elk in stubble and wheat feilds. From the way it sounds could be a tough winter if it gets realy cold.
I haven't went over there this year cause I'm not hunting it.I'm staying close to home cause of fuel and HEY I know where the elk are in the Belts.I'm just doing this trip to the Bob causeBro-in-Law didn't have anyone to go with.It should be fun, haven't been in there for couple of years not since I tagged that 5 point.
Thanks and I will watch out for Winnie the Poo!!!
