Default What To Bring In A Daypack?

If you bring a daypack, what is always in it? I just bought one from Cabela's, and don't really know what to put in it because I'e always used fanny packs before. Here's what I have so far:
T.P
Compass (around neck)
Bino's (around neck)
Spare gloves
Spare socks
2 Granola Bars
Rope (for dragging)

Any other suggestions?

1 small tin cup
2 packets of lipton soup mix
2 packes tea bags or coco
2 pairs extra socks
1 set of rain gear

Small first aid kit to cover everthing from sprains to bleeding

I did forget something,my maps.I never go anywhere without a good map.No matter how much you hunt a area, maps always are usefull.Whether you are circling a spot to come back to or marking rubs, they are just plain handy.

Pretty good list BBJ. I'd add a flashlight or head lamp to your list with extra batteries.

Thanks BBJ, no, this is for rifle, just reallly pumped and the pack comes in tommorow, so I wanna get it packed. I've seen some of those emergency blankets that fold up really small (size of credit card) and they're made by Coghlan (sp?). Would a few of those be good to have?

Yeah that would work,I carry one of the cheap ones cost like 2 dollars or something. They can cover about a 4 ft x 5ft square.
For rifle I would toss out the allen wrenches and just carry a multi-tool.

Rather_ be,
Knew I was forgetting something(and it wasn't the kitchen sink)

good lord some people over pack lol. I have one of those packs with the built in water holder, Filled slightly more than halfway " its fairly big", 2 gonola bars, a sandwitch bag full of trail mix, Knife, compass, small light flashlight " small but its super bright", Lighter, 1 emergency space blanket, And i carry in my head all the survival skills ive learned and remembered from all the mountain man books ive read. You guys know how to keep warm in the mountains with no blanket? If you have a small shovel or the ground is soft, dig down 3 feet, gather some logs to lay across the hole and light a small fire under the logs and sleep on top of the logs. Careful not to build to big of a fire or else you'll really be warm! Another good item to carry in the woods is a small light weight hatchet. Theres really no point in carrying alot of food with you, if you are hunting you are more than likely carrying a gun or bow. And the woods are full of food.
