Since it was obviously his fault, can we assume that his insurance will Pay?

Would it still be the elks fault if he was crossing in a deer xing??

I've hit two deer in my life, with vehicles, and I doubt that the two of them did as much as that one elk. What a bummer!!! By the way, I'd guess his score to be a little shy of the 350 mark, I might give him a 320 or 330!!
My dad always said "it's best to hit a deer on the road, than a tree in the ditch." Although, I'm not so sure that still holds true on elk!!

Wow! That sucks!

But I think it is a pretty solid 350, with 8" g-5's, 18" g-4's, 6-8" g-3's, and g-1&2's ~10" and 45" mains with decent mass(hard to tell with velvet obviously). Pretty sweet nonetheless. Amazing that the rack wasn't hurt in the crash.

My guess is about 310 at the most and that would include the velvet measurement. Nice bull and bad luck sniper. I know the law in Montana can be a bit sketchy on those things -- did you get to keep it or did G&F take it.
